In today’s digital landscape — where cybersecurity threats, misinformation, and online fraud continue to grow — maintaining trust requires more than simply delivering services. It requires transparency, accountability, and a genuine commitment to helping others.
From the beginning, our goal has been to build a company that not only protects websites and digital assets, but also contributes positively to the broader online community.
Supporting the Global WordPress Community
One of the initiatives highlighted in our award submission was our commitment to helping improve the security posture of the global WordPress ecosystem.
As part of that effort, WordZite Security developed a free WordPress security scanner that is now used daily by developers and website professionals around the world. The tool helps identify vulnerabilities and security risks while also educating users on best practices for securing WordPress websites.
We believe cybersecurity education should be accessible, practical, and community-focused — especially for small businesses, organizations, and independent developers who may not have access to enterprise-level security resources.
Giving Back to the Local Community
Community involvement has also always been an important part of our company culture. Each year, WordZite Security and our parent company, Yardstick Services Inc., provide pro-bono support for, an awareness campaign related to prevention and intervention programs managed by Children of the Street which is a part of PLEA Community Services.
Children of the Street works to support vulnerable youth and prevent the sexual exploitation and trafficking of children and young people throughout British Columbia. We are grateful for the opportunity to contribute our expertise in support of organizations making a meaningful difference in our communities.
